This page covers a single product. I also sell a spreadsheet version for $24. It adds a quantity table (100 to 2,000 units), a sheet per market you can print or share, the source and check date for every rate, and free updates when the rules change. If the free calculator already does what you need, you don't need the spreadsheet.

How it works

The goods cost is the unit price times quantity, plus the agent fee, packaging and China domestic shipping. For the US, duty is charged on that figure. International freight isn't included because US customs uses transaction value. The UK and EU charge duty on CIF value (goods, insurance and freight) and then add VAT on top of CIF plus duty.

US fees: MPF is 0.3464% of value, with a minimum of $33.58 and a maximum of $651.50 per formal entry (over $2,500). Smaller informal entries pay a small fixed fee, which isn't included here. HMF is 0.125% and only applies to ocean freight.

FAQ

Is there still de minimis for goods from China into the US?

No. The $800 de minimis exemption has been suspended for all countries since 29 August 2025, so every shipment pays duty, even small parcels.

Do IEEPA tariffs still apply?

No. They were struck down on 20 February 2026 and haven't been collected since 24 February 2026. The Section 122 10% surcharge expired on 24 July 2026. Section 301 still applies: 25% on Lists 1–3 and 7.5% on List 4A. A 12.5% Section 301 forced-labour duty has applied to Chinese goods since 24 July 2026.

Why is freight included in UK and EU duty but not US duty?

The UK and EU value imports on a CIF basis. The US uses the price paid to the seller, which normally leaves out international freight and insurance.

What changed with EU low-value parcels?

The €150 duty exemption ended on 1 July 2026. Until 1 July 2028, parcels worth €150 or less pay a flat €3 per item category. VAT is still charged.

Does the UK still have the £135 rule?

Yes, for now. Consignments of £135 or less get duty relief, and VAT is collected at the point of sale. A new low-value regime is due by 2028.

Where do I find my real duty rate?

US: hts.usitc.gov. UK: UK Trade Tariff. EU: TARIC. Check Section 301 coverage on the USTR site.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. Everything is calculated in your browser. Nothing you type leaves the page.
